Welcome – I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist with over 30 years of experience in therapeutic practice. My journey into helping others began in Human Resources, but it quickly became clear that my true calling was in more hands-on, heart-led healing work.
I trained as a massage therapist, where I specialised in supporting cancer patients—an experience that deepened my understanding of how powerful touch and presence can be in the healing process. Through this work, I discovered a natural gift for healing, which led me to further train and qualify as a Healer, incorporating Reiki and Shamanic practices into my approach.
I’ve always been drawn to supporting people not just physically, but emotionally and psychologically. This passion led me to train with the Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT) and become a fully qualified Solution Focused Hypnotherapist.
My sessions take place either online via Zoom or in person at Tillow Barn, a peaceful, countryside retreat near Dorking and Reigate in Surrey. The moment you arrive, the serene surroundings help you relax and breathe a little more deeply. It’s the perfect environment to begin your journey of healing and positive change.
Whether you’re drawn to hands-on healing, hypnotherapy, or a combination of both, I tailor each session to meet you exactly where you are. Healing is always optional and client-led—some people choose to focus purely on hypnotherapy, others feel drawn to the deep, restorative energy work.
My hypnotherapy sessions are focused on moving forward—not on dwelling in the past, but on finding solutions and building a more empowered, peaceful future.
I work with clients of all ages, including children, and I hold a full DBS certificate. I particularly love working with anyone experiencing anxiety, trauma, or addiction—helping you reconnect with a sense of calm, clarity, and control.
If you feel drawn to this way of working, I’d love to hear from you.

What is Reiki Healing
Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan. The word Reiki means “universal life energy” – it is based on the idea that there is a natural energy that flows through all living things, and when this energy becomes blocked or low, it can affect our wellbeing. Tell me more....
What is Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy that uses the power of focused relaxation and suggestion to create positive change in your thoughts, feelings, or behaviours. It involves being guided into a deeply relaxed, trance-like state (a bit like daydreaming), where the conscious mind quiets down and the subconscious becomes more open to helpful suggestions.
It’s not about losing control or being “asleep” – you’re always aware and in control, just in a calm, highly focused state. Tell me more...

What issues can hypnotherapy help with?Solution Focussed Hypnotherapy can sort a wide range of issues. Mental health challenges like anxiety, depression and anger, to sleep difficulties, which respond very well to this approach. It is also highly effective for phobia’s. People dealing with addictions, whether that’s alcohol, drugs or smoking. In fact, smoking can often be achieved in just one focussed session of 2 to 3 hours. people struggling with eating disorders, weight management, and even chronic pain. Conditions like OCD and PTSD, all which can have a profound impact on daily life. Children and teenagers respond well to hypnotherapy. Personally, I would love to do more work with teenagers. I don’t use a set programme, I set objectives with the client, and we work from there. For example, I recently had a lady who suddenly developed a fear of driving and parking. We worked on-line, then on her 7th session she was able to drive to my therapy room – a huge milestone for her.
-
Will I be in control during the session?People often ask me about trance and whether they will lose control, usually because of what they have seen in stage hypnosis. Trance is simply a very calm, deeply relaxed state. You will be fully in control, aware of my voice, and aware of everything that is going on around you. In fact, we drift in and out of light trance in our everyday life –when we are driving, watching tv, out on a run even. In this relaxed state, the conscious and subconscious minds work together. That’s why hypnotherapy is so powerful, because we can access the subconscious mind, where habits, beliefs and emotions are stored and tap into the brains vast intellectual resources to create meaningful lasting change.
-
How many sessions will I need? When it comes to the number of sessions, it really depends on the individual, their response and the issue they are working through. Hypnotherapy is not a quick fix, but with consistent sessions, it creates real, lasting change. Usually, a minimum of 6 hourly sessions are recommended to build a solid foundation for change, but some people benefit from 8-12 sessions. The goal is always to help you move towards the best version of yourself, in a sustainable supportive way. Phobias can often be treated in 3 sessions depending on your overall stress levels and mental health. Smoking cessation often just one session of 2 to 3 hours. I start off with a Discovery Call which is a relaxed conversation to explore what is going on. Then a Full Consultation is booked in which is includes an interesting explanation of how the ‘brain works. After this you can make the commitment of starting treatment, if you so wish.

What actually happens in a Reiki session?Reiki means universal and life force energy, the energy that flows through every living thing. Reiki is a gentle yet powerful hands-on (sometimes the hands are held above the body), a healing approach that supports the body and mind in returning to a natural state of balance. It is deeply relaxing and can be especially helpful for stress, anxiety, pain or emotional overwhelm. Reiki works beautifully alongside hypnotherapy or as a stand- alone treatment. Many clients describe feeling lighter, calmer and more grounded after a session. It's not about diagnosing or fixing but rather allowing your system to shift gently back into harmony.
-
Do I need to believe in Reiki for it to work? No, Reiki doesn’t require belief to be effective. It’s a gentle energy therapy that supports the body’s natural healing process, even if you are sceptical. All that’s needed is a willingness to relax and to be open to the experience. I always encourage new clients to come just as they are – no expectations or pressure.
-
Will I feel anything during the session? The body responds in its own way – often by deeply relaxing, releasing tension, and starting to rebalance itself naturally. You may feel sensations such as warmth, tingling, or simply a sense of calm, or nothing at all during the session, but that does not mean changes are not occurring. Sometimes people can even see colours or visions.
